Our last paper accepted in 2023, to be published 1st April 2024.
Led by @donaloceil our work examines how to optimally connect small #biogas plants together to a large end user (or #biomethane facility)

and our last paper of the year in uncorrected proof..
in which we examine transportation of biogas using low pressure biogas pipelines through development of a methodology containing two heuristics (connection based on proximity or output flowrate) to optimise pipeline layouts.
Our last gathering of this year; a year in which we authored 16 peer review papers & 4 of us completed PhDs. Congratulations to
Dr Davis Rusmanis,
Dr Xue Ning,
Dr Nathan Gray &
Dr Donal O'Ceileachair

Congrats to PhD graduate Dr Donal O Ceileachair who defended his thesis on farm scale biogas systems.
Funded by @SEAI_ie @GasNetIrl
Co supervised with @davvywall & Richie O Shea
Examiners: Prof Jonas Ammenberg, Dr Paul Leahy & Dr Tom Doyle.
We are so proud of Davis Rusmanis who defended his PhD with great aplomb.☺️
Great thanks to @scienceirel @eriucc @MaREIcentre @UCCResearch

Prof McCabe (external) Dr Lettice (Chair) and Dr Kelliher (Intern)
Supervised by Dr Wall & Prof Murphy
Latest @MaREIcentre@eriucc paper funded by @SEAI_ie led by @donaloceil in collaboration with @MTU_ie describes how virtual pipelines may be employed to bring #biogas from disperse farm-scale digesters to an end-user of #biomethane at scale

This week's #ResearcherThursdays#GetToKnow is.... Dónal Ó Céileachair
Dónal is a final year PhD student researching anaerobic digestion as part of CEEES research group in MaREI at UCC. His work focuses on optimising the logistics of on-farm anaerobic digestion in Ireland.
