Personally I reckon Albo’s ban doesn’t go far enough. The takeaway from the US election is clearly that everyone should be banned from social media, and possibly the entire internet. Just burn it all down and start again.
@grugstan So they would be interacting with students’ questions about/comments on the lecture material in real time. And students interacted with each other as well. I think it was a richer experience than either a “regular” online lecture or a face to face lecture.
@grugstan I think it depends on how it’s delivered - it doesn’t sound like this is what’s being proposed, but one of the best units of my masters had online lectures that could be watched at any time, but if you joined at the scheduled “class time” the lecturer was in the zoom chat 1/2

I’m in London and I know it’s been said before but the thing that makes European cities/London cool and fun is the ubiquity of medium-density housing coupled with planning laws that allow cafes/shops/pubs to exist in the same space as residences.

Opposition to the TOD is deeply conservative, unfair to young people, and will make our city less vibrant and less afforable. Sydney YIMBY are right here, write your your local Greeen or Liberal MP or the Green, Liberal and One Nation members of the upper house and let them know!
