Plus one year of cycling from Alaska to Argentina and writing a book en route!
Prosaic heartsongs of reflection on my lifelong search for familial belonging, set against a cascading backdrop of dirt roads and remote villages across the Americas:

Proud to finally share some of my work in this winter’s issue of The Travel Almanac, a beautiful hardcover photo book and travel writing journal issued twice annually. Visit https://t.co/ZtDQb1ubq4 for issues and subscriptions.

More shots of my rugged @PolygonBikes V9X #bikepacking buildout for the ride from Alaska to Argentina. More than halfway there now and bracing for the Andes!
Explored 200 miles of Arizona’s borderlands via @bikepackingcom’s Sky Islands Odyssey route with grazing pronghorn from afar, the comic burble of Masked Bobwhite Quail, hummingbird sanctuaries and entire hillsides of flowering ocotillo like extraterrestrial candelabra.
Gave the new @PolygonBikes V9X buildout a proper bikepacking test ride over the San Francisco Peaks of northern Arizona, featuring Flagstaff’s “fourth winter” of hail, snow, and the route becoming a literal ski slope over 9k ft:
Bikepacking my way south from Vallarta along grueling hairpins and switchbacks linking vacant towns to playas tortugerias, vast protected coastlines where overseers sheltered baby turtles in bucketloads and helped them out toward the water by cover of darkness.
