Want to start collecting Riftbound? Here's my Top 5 for collectors:
🥇 #1 – Chinese Arcane Collector's Box (Project K) 5000 units
🥈 #2 – Project K Trial Decks ultra rare
🥉 #3 – Project K Red & Silver Promo Booster Packs 5000/1250 units
4️⃣ Origins Case
5️⃣ English Arcane Box / Worlds 2025
There are plenty of other great collectibles, but if I were starting today, this is where I'd begin.
Why?
Because when I collect a TCG I truly enjoy, I want to own the very first pieces of its history.
That's why the Project K cards rank at the very top of my collection—they represent the beginning of Riftbound's journey, and that's what makes them so special to me.
If that's outside your budget, I think the upcoming T1 Box with numbered cards is another incredible collector's piece and has the potential to become a true grail for many collectors.
@TheZachkAttack I'm definitely excited. Riot has genuinely surprised me with this TCG, especially with the multiplayer features. I'm really curious to see where they take it over the next few years.
The biggest advantage is that Riot has never been dependent on a single TV series. Unlike many anime franchises, Riot is backed by a massive gaming ecosystem that will keep the brand relevant for many years to come.
Riftbound will become a top-three TCG within the next few years. Anyone positioning themselves now is still incredibly early.
That's true for now. However, over the next few years, I believe Riftbound will gradually expand beyond just League of Legends. League is obviously the foundation of the game today, but I expect Riot to grow the IP into other directions over time through new products, stories, and collectible experiences. Of course, that's just my personal speculation.

@cactusDAT Bro, this is insane. I'm convinced this box will be trading for absolutely crazy prices in 5 years. Make sure to store it safely so the signature doesn't get damaged. Protect it well it could be worth a lot in the future.
I made my first One Piece purchases back in 2023. At this point, I'm mainly holding my grails and I'm no longer actively investing. If the market sees a meaningful dip and good opportunities come up, I'll probably buy a bit more, but for now I'm mostly staying on the sidelines.
Prices have been almost "only up" over the last three years. A lot of people now think they can blindly buy anything without understanding what they're actually buying. Those are the people who will end up transferring their money to scalpers.
I don't think this "only up" trend will continue forever. As the market matures, being selective and knowing what you own will matter much more. That said, I do believe the established grails will reach absolutely insane prices over the next five years.
But please, don't just buy blindly
Right now, Riftbound is my fastest-growing position, with One Piece still being my largest overall holding.
Over the past few weeks, I've traded several of my One Piece grails for Riftbound grails, mainly Best Of and Plated cards that I had duplicates of. I'm happy with the trades and prefer consolidating into pieces I have the highest conviction in.
On top of that, I'm currently building a position in Dragon Ball Fusion World. With the recently announced $500 million investment into the Dragon Ball IP, a franchise that has remained relevant for decades, I believe the TCG could benefit significantly over the coming years.
We've already seen some impressive high-end sales, and the franchise has one of the most loyal fanbases in the world, making it a very interesting long-term play in my opinion.
Let me show you the true First Edition of Riftbound.
• Limited to just 5,000 copies worldwide
• Only available in China
• Released in 2024
• Features the original Project K design (before Riftbound)
• This design will never return
• The only Full Art cards ever printed in the original Project K style
• The true First Edition cards of the entire game
A unique piece of Riftbound history.
These are the only Chinese Riftbound products I'm collecting:
• Project K Arcane Collector's Box
• Project K Trial Decks
• Project K Promo Packs
To me, these aren't just collectibles—they're pieces of Riftbound history.
They tell the story of the game before it became Riftbound, featuring the original Project K card design that was later completely redesigned for the global release.
I collect all other Riftbound cards in English.
The only Chinese products I collect are the Project K era collectibles because they represent the game's history.
To me, the Chinese Arcane Collector's Box is comparable to:
• The 2022 D23 Lorcana Collector's Set
• The 1996 Japanese Pokémon cards without rarity symbols
They're the earliest collectibles from the game's history pieces that can never truly be recreated.
Make sure the box is still factory sealed.
In my opinion, serious collectors tend to gravitate toward the Chinese Collector's Box because it offers something you can't recreate: the original Project K design, greater exclusivity, a premium presentation, and a unique place in Riftbound's history. The English version is fantastic too, but I see it as the more accessible option for the broader fanbase.
the English Arcane Box has a much higher print run at least 20,000 copies.
I definitely expect it to appreciate over time, but I personally don't see it reaching $10,000+ anytime soon simply because the supply is much larger.
Look at the 1996 Japanese Pokémon cards without rarity symbols.
Many people think the English 1st Edition Charizard is the ultimate Holy Grail, but that's not necessarily true.
Some of the rarest Japanese No Rarity cards have achieved prices in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, with exceptional examples reaching around $1 million in private sales
The earliest version of a collectible often becomes the most historically significant over time.
He had some good takes, but I also don’t get this Cyberpunk 2077 bullshit at all. I love the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime but
He's comparing a game that has sold 30 million copies... to a franchise with over 200 million monthly active players and billions of dollars in revenue. 😂
A Chinese collector just bought the Best Of Ahri card for $120,000 ungraded, and people still think Riftbound is just a short-term hype?
Bro, you have no idea what League of Legends means in many Asian countries. It's more than just a game it's almost like a religion.
The Project K Trial Decks, and especially the cards from the Silver Promo Packs, are incredibly rare.
The only reason I rank the Chinese Arcane Collector's Box at #1 is because I personally prefer the original Project K card design, it contains the only Full Art cards from that era, and I'm also a huge Arcane fan.
For me, it's the perfect combination of history, artwork, and nostalgia.
100%. I'm genuinely having a lot of fun with the game. There are definitely some design choices and mechanics that could still be improved, but overall I'm really enjoying the TCG and I'm excited to see where Riot takes it next. I agree. The TCG genre has grown a lot over the last few years, but what really stands out to me is the enthusiasm from the players. The growth I'm seeing at local tournaments has been incredible, and the numbers back that up. Riftbound is currently one of the fastest-growing TCGs in recent month, with organized play and store participation continuing to expand across multiple sets.
I'm really excited to see where the game goes from here.
People are worried that Riftbound won't succeed... but we're talking about Riot Games...
Their "side project" was releasing Arcane, which became one of the most successful video game adaptations ever made. If that's what they can do on the side, imagine what they're capable of when they're fully committed to building a TCG.
🏆 Won 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Animated Program, becoming the first streaming series ever to win in that category.
🏆 Won 9 Annie Awards, one of the highest honors in the animation industry.
🌍 Reached #1 on Netflix in over 50 countries shortly after its release.
⭐ Earned 100% critic scores on Rotten Tomatoes for both Season 1 and Season 2, along with outstanding audience ratings.
🎮 Won Best Adaptation at The Game Awards 2022.
📺 Became one of Netflix's biggest animated series and introduced millions of new viewers to the League of Legends universe.
🎨 Widely praised for its groundbreaking animation, storytelling, soundtrack, and visual quality, setting a new standard for video game adaptations.
That's fair, but I think it actually supports my point. Riot's previous attempts were in the digital card game genre, which has historically been much harder to sustain long-term. Riftbound is a physical TCG, entering a market that has been thriving for over 30 years. Those are completely different markets with very different audiences and business models.
Riot Forge is only Publishing-Label ... Legends of Runeterra was Riot's first venture into an entirely new genre, and it simply didn't take off the way they wanted.
Entering a completely new genre where even Blizzard with Hearthstone, Blizzard's biggest card game, is no longer the success it once was challenge than entering a genre that has been thriving for over 30 years. Those are two completely different situations.
