These are the only Chinese Riftbound products I'm collecting:

To me, these aren't just collectibles—they're pieces of Riftbound history.

They tell the story of the game before it became Riftbound, featuring the original Project K card design that was later completely redesigned for the global release.

I collect all other Riftbound cards in English.

The only Chinese products I collect are the Project K era collectibles because they represent the game's history.

To me, the Chinese Arcane Collector's Box is comparable to:
• The 2022 D23 Lorcana Collector's Set
• The 1996 Japanese Pokémon cards without rarity symbols

They're the earliest collectibles from the game's history pieces that can never truly be recreated.

Make sure the box is still factory sealed.

@GymLeaderMurpee From my experience, truly serious collectors and long-term investors won't be nearly as interested in the English Arcane Box.

In my opinion, serious collectors tend to gravitate toward the Chinese Collector's Box because it offers something you can't recreate: the original Project K design, greater exclusivity, a premium presentation, and a unique place in Riftbound's history. The English version is fantastic too, but I see it as the more accessible option for the broader fanbase.

the English Arcane Box has a much higher print run at least 20,000 copies.

I definitely expect it to appreciate over time, but I personally don't see it reaching $10,000+ anytime soon simply because the supply is much larger.

Look at the 1996 Japanese Pokémon cards without rarity symbols.

Many people think the English 1st Edition Charizard is the ultimate Holy Grail, but that's not necessarily true.

Some of the rarest Japanese No Rarity cards have achieved prices in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, with exceptional examples reaching around $1 million in private sales

The earliest version of a collectible often becomes the most historically significant over time.

The Project K Trial Decks, and especially the cards from the Silver Promo Packs, are incredibly rare.

The only reason I rank the Chinese Arcane Collector's Box at #1 is because I personally prefer the original Project K card design, it contains the only Full Art cards from that era, and I'm also a huge Arcane fan.

For me, it's the perfect combination of history, artwork, and nostalgia.

100%. I'm genuinely having a lot of fun with the game. There are definitely some design choices and mechanics that could still be improved, but overall I'm really enjoying the TCG and I'm excited to see where Riot takes it next. I agree. The TCG genre has grown a lot over the last few years, but what really stands out to me is the enthusiasm from the players. The growth I'm seeing at local tournaments has been incredible, and the numbers back that up. Riftbound is currently one of the fastest-growing TCGs in recent month, with organized play and store participation continuing to expand across multiple sets.

I'm really excited to see where the game goes from here.

People are worried that Riftbound won't succeed... but we're talking about Riot Games...

Their "side project" was releasing Arcane, which became one of the most successful video game adaptations ever made. If that's what they can do on the side, imagine what they're capable of when they're fully committed to building a TCG.

That's fair, but I think it actually supports my point. Riot's previous attempts were in the digital card game genre, which has historically been much harder to sustain long-term. Riftbound is a physical TCG, entering a market that has been thriving for over 30 years. Those are completely different markets with very different audiences and business models.

Riot Forge is only Publishing-Label ... Legends of Runeterra was Riot's first venture into an entirely new genre, and it simply didn't take off the way they wanted.

Entering a completely new genre where even Blizzard with Hearthstone, Blizzard's biggest card game, is no longer the success it once was challenge than entering a genre that has been thriving for over 30 years. Those are two completely different situations.

I own both versions the English and the Chinese box. I have each one sealed, and I also opened one of each for my display.

Trust me, people can't believe how "cheap" the English box looks compared to the Chinese one. The Chinese Collector's Box looks absolutely insane in person. The build quality and presentation are on another level.

It really feels like Riot wanted the very first Riftbound collectible to be a true premium product and in my opinion, they absolutely nailed it.

Even the cards inside the box are on another level in terms of quality. The production of these first cards was incredibly elaborate. It almost feels like Riot set such a high standard for this early release that later mass production inevitably required some compromises.

People love opening sealed products. In Pokémon, there are sealed boxes worth €5,000+, while the main chase card from that same set might only be worth €300 no joke. The excitement of ripping packs and the scarcity of sealed products often make them more valuable than the singles inside.

There are no sealed Chinese Arcane Boxes left on eBay they've all been sold. Good luck finding a sealed one in the future.
