Stephen Colbert didn't want to have Jasmine Crockett on his show, so he couldn't air the Talarico interview. Maybe because she's a woman. Or maybe because she's black. But that's on Stephen Colbert, not the FCC.
RE: The Washington Post
Let me explain what destroyed the Washington Post.
Long ago I was a daily reader of the Washington Post. Living in the DC area and working in the federal government, reading the Post every day was an imperative—kind of like being a Wall Street trader and reading the WSJ daily.
Yes, it swung Left back then but largely did it in a tolerable way that a conservative could tolerate.
So let me tell you the two steps which, in chronological order, destroyed it.
First, they alienated the Right. The “Democracy Dies in Darkness” era was ruled utterly and entirely by Trump Derangement Syndrome. Every bizarre hoax about Trump was treated as gospel, and the Post made no effort to be even remotely balanced in its reporting. While conservatives could once tolerate a leftward lean, they could not tolerate outright lies, and whatever remnant of conservative readers was left abandoned the Post, never to return. This had a positive financial side effect for the Post, however. Because it had lost all sense of fairness and balance and had swung so hard Left as to make network news seem reasonable, they attracted the most whacked out elements of the Democrat Party as new subscribers.
Second, later on, in a publication whose subscriber base was somewhere to the Left of Bernie Sanders, the editors decided to not endorse Kamala Harris in 2024. This had the effect of losing hundreds of thousands of Leftist subscribers, an action actually encouraged by Post staffers themselves.
Soooo…. what destroyed the Post were two successive editorial strategies that alienated everyone. First, they drove off subscribers on the Right by turning into a loony bin of the most demented ideas of the Left, then they lost their Lefty subscribers by not being demented and loony enough.
I’m not sure what subscribers are left. People who want to read about the National Zoo’s pandas, perhaps?
Regardless, they did this to themselves.
And I say good riddance to propaganda.
Nobody knew about Johnny Carson’s political views because he thought his job was to make all Americans laugh, not preach about politics. That’s why he was the most popular late-night host ever. America desperately needs another Carson.
The best part is that both Colbert and Kimmel can now start their own podcast/substack/blog/whatever and be rewarded by the free market based only on their content
If you're shocked by the way Hunter Biden talks and the language he uses - it's EXACTLY the way Joe Biden talks in private. Anyone who knows and works with Joe can confirm that. #HunterBiden
BREAKING - Medicaid plans to cooperate with ICE by allowing access to its enrollment system to identify illegals for rapid deportation, and since there are “no illegals on Medicaid,” surely no Democrats will be concerned.
Give 60 Minutes anchor Scott Pelley credit for coming clean and being totally honest - he announces to the world that he is NOT objective and has a deep hatred of Donald Trump and wants to stop him:

Urologist Dr. Shusterman says it’s “unheard of” for someone with Biden’s level of care to not know he had prostate cancer 5–10 years ago.
It was a full-on coverup:
“It's very unlikely that someone could get annual checkups and not notice.”
“He is a former president, had intensive state of the art care.. It's unusual to hear that someone has prostate cancer when they're annually being followed up. The fact that we find it at a Gleason 9 is unheard of.”
“Most likely had it for a long time.. Aggressive prostate cancer grows over a long period of time. Five to ten years.. in the most aggressive form.”
“Definitely evidence that he knew about this for a while.”
