The govt is doing a review of access to face-to-face banking. For many elderly and vulnerable people in person banking is crucial and we need to protect it. The review wants your view, you can feed in here... https://t.co/vcOGgz9l5i
"Americans have followed the guidelines for the past 45 years (see infographic)"
Eh? All this shows is when DGAs were introduced, not that Americans have followed them (they haven't).
If you like this sort of figure, perhaps low-carb diets actually caused the rise in obesity...
Walnuts may improve artery function, specifically the ability of our arteries to relax and open normally. Why should we care about our artery function? For heart disease prevention. https://t.co/ZZ83axrRGP
Well said @JurgenOfficial Your speech about @TrentAA was awesome 👌 My husband is a lifelong @LFC supporter and after watching many matches with him, hearing and seeing how great the fans are, I was shocked by the booing at the arsenal match.
I don't know why more people aren't fascinated with climate change (like I am), but for those who are, here's an extraordinary talk from an extraordinary scientist:

It surprises me that in 2024 I am still called out for advising that people do not eat meat on the basis that plant-proteins are of “poor quality”. This concept of protein quality needs to be flipped on its head!
There is compelling evidence to recommend eating nuts at least three times a week to maximize your chances of living longer and healthier lives. Raw nuts are preferred over salted or toasted ones, and whole or chopped nuts over nut butters. https://t.co/prprA2iWHZ
We have a collective of people who can’t stop scrolling, struggle to get in the shower, and procrastinate every day. Our nervous systems are so overstimulated, we’re stuck in fictional freeze. More dancing, singing, hugging, being in nature, and creating.
Scientists on panel defending ultra-processed foods linked to food firms - but despite quotes I doubt any of them eat 60 percent UPF in their diet or say it is healthy. We all eat some but let’s try and reduce it and not say it’s confusing https://t.co/K5UVglQeXe
URGENT SAVERS WARNING (pls share).
The Bank of England minutes ago voted to maintain interest rates at 5.25% - not increase as many predicted.
It's therefore possible fixed rate savings may shave down their rates at speed (as they're based on longer term predictions of interest rates).
If so, and you were looking to lock-in a fix, you'll want to open a top fix this minute as the rates could drop even by later today, certainly if it does happen by later this week.
Tactic to play it both ways: Open the fix today, but don't fund it (you've usually 7 to 14 days to do that). Just hold it so you've got it available, and you can wait and see what happens to rates. If they go the other way, just don't fund the facility you've opened now - that's not a problem.

Took a close look at how nutrition misinformation spreads, using an example of what seemed like a very informed lecture from a very popular scientist. Checking references can be shocking. 😵💫
