#halfords so they stay open for bikes and certain motoring. So why is it you can still order anything online and collect at store. This is still encouraging people out. Essential only to key staff only. Lives over money

@MRedmond149 @jaybyname1 @Halfords_uk We have seen people take kids in just to browse, just to grab a dash cam. We need everyone to be in to stop the spread or we will be lockdown longer with more deaths

[donna cook @donnacook52]

@MRedmond149 @jaybyname1 @Halfords_uk Then maybe Halfords should change how they are opening and make it only for NHS staff or essential work to guarantee they can get to work. The sales of bikes so kids can go out and play and general repair for bike rides is not necessary right now. People are still not staying in

[Don Don @CleeDonna]

@Halfords_uk Having the reassurance that our families will be safe felt like you cared for the colleagues. Then having that taken away from us in less than 12hrs later is unbearable. Please do the right thing and protect us 🙏🏼

[Julijaar @julijaar]

@piersmorgan Can you please address the choice of Halfords to stay open during this Pandemic, putting thousands of colleagues at risk. Exploiting their staff while the CEO sits comfortable in front of his TV. #Halfords

[Megan Birney @meganebirney]

Hi @Halfords_uk, why has my husband been identified as a “key worker” only to serve members of the public who want to buy new bikes for fun? If he continues to be front of house, he will have to self-isolate from his two young children. This is NOT a frontline job.

[donna cook @donnacook52]

@katieforrestx Totally agree but until #BorisJohnson revokes their essential status they will stay open. They do not care what cost to staff just what cost to the pocket

[donna cook @donnacook52]

I know it is hard for businesses tonight but whilst people are still going out this virus will continue to spread and businesses will be closed for longer. Lets just rip that bandage off and close all but actual essential and the. Deploy police to these essential services

[donna cook @donnacook52]

@BorisJohnson people are still going out. To make matters worse you are allowing places like bike stores and decorating stores to stay open encouraging people to browse. These are not essential in life and death situations. These stores are operating on greed only

[donna cook @donnacook52]

If you want to stop people going out then take away all there reasons for leaving. Pretty much everything can be ordered online. The only time people should be leaving is for food or medicine and that should be alone not as a family

[donna cook @donnacook52]

Food is essential and even supermarkets are struggling to get people to maintain 2mtr and respect the staff. Essential items are food and medicine. Exercise is a walk and to be fair if this means not losing my loved ones then I will manage with a walk for a month or so

[donna cook @donnacook52]

It's bad enough that people who refuse to stay home are putting supermarket staff at risk not the mention the spread risk so to all stores to stay open just because they sell bikes. I'm sorry but I'm sure the families of the staff selling these bikes see this as a risk
