Today I sat with a patient and cried, NO she was not terminally ill, NO she didnt have Covid. This beautiful young mum was told she would be spending mothers day in the hospital. Please #stayathome dont let Covid #novisiting be the new norm ๐ญ๐ญ #savetheNHS
Iโve just signed @theRCNโs #FairPayForNursing petition, telling the Prime Minister why we demand Fair Pay For Nursing. It only takes a minute โ please show your support for nursing staff by signing too. https://t.co/59ym5edvhh
The Northern Ireland Executive has decided to reward us!! How have they done this you ask?? A ยฃ500 one off payment which they have now decided to tax us on. Seriously Northern Ireland is this really how we feel about our #NHSheros@RobinSwannMoH@moneillsf
From the beginning of Covid my colleagues and myself have went above and beyond to help the struggling NHS. We have worked extra shifts, moved out of home, stopped going to the shop for fear of catching/passing on Covid to someone else.
All the staff in the Acute Assessment Area are extremely grateful to The Giving Shed in Cloughmills for the donation of hand creams for the staff. In the past few months the Giving Shed has donated clothing and personal hygiene items to the Assessment Area.@WardTripleA#COVID19
Last week I asked my local community if they could possibly donate some rosary beads to Antrim Area Hospital. Today I collected the bead from local shops and I am completely blown away by the response, these beads will be distributed to the sick. #Glenravel@NHSCTrust#COVID19
Thanks @MckeeganClaire, just doing my part in the battle against #COVID19. In my 6 years as a Senior Healthcare Assistant and my 4 years as a #studentnurse I have never been as scared as I was last night. #StayAtHomeSaveLives
Feeling proud of this #studentnurse@OUBelfast who is also my dear friend @donnafyfe87 and again working tonight in Antrim Hospital along with many #NHSheroes caring for #Covid_19 patients and selflessly risking her health in the process ๐๐๐ป๐๐ป
@piersmorgan Well done @piersmorgan its brilliant to see someone fighting our corner and asking the questions that we cant ask. Sat up after a 12 hour night shift as a HCA to watch you and you did not disappoint. Thanks for backing all of us working in the NHS
So sad to hear that our colleagues are passing away due to this virus. Unfortunately this will not be the last. We need to stand together and protect each other. We need to treat every patient like they are infected until they are deemed negative.
@patcullen9 It is disgusting. We stood out in the rain for pay parity and now we are using that few pound of back pay to buy ourselves and our colleagues PPE. Every day we are seeing more cases where health care staff have tested positive for Covid 19. We need appropriate PPE
Big shout out to #nhsvolunteers health care professionals who are busy collecting donated supplies from kind builders of FP3 Masks & baby monitors from the community. These are on the way to Antrim Area Hospital and nurses in the community who do not have sufficient PPE #COVID19
