@beatingthebook Hi Gil. I hope you have time for this. I’m a Dodger fan and I saw this coming in August. Yet people were still touting the Dodgers to win the WS. Putting money on the Dodgers to still win after Game 2 was silly. I’m sure the books were saying thank you for the contribution.
People need to explain to me, this argument. I’m tired of it. It needs to stop. The decades of data argument doesn’t hold up. The Dodgers went 22 years without winning a WS title. New ownership in the early 2000s said they would do whatever it took to bring a winner to LA. They kept their word and now the rest of the ownership cries “a lack of competitive balance.” Come on, really? You want to win. Compete. Spend money. Keep your own. You’re going to blame the Dodgers for this. They told you and rather than compete with them, you want to change the rules. Thats not right.

Ok. I’m going to say this again. Everyone needs to stop with this nonsense. It’s a false narrative. I believe that regardless of the outcome of these playoffs, there’s going to be a lockout. Period. The owners are a bunch of greedy billionaires who refuse to spend. There will not be baseball until the players cave. The Dodgers are not hoarding. They have castoffs and free agents that have wanted to come to LA. They’ve also developed their own. It’s always been this way. It was the Yankees. Now it’s the Dodgers. Owners are free to spend and players are free to go wherever they want. This is on the rest of the MLB ownership.

He’s absolutely correct. This whole MAGA base makes me sick. What the hell have you people done to make America great again? Just the opposite. Let’s see: driving interest rates up, driving gas prices higher, starting a war that has no indication of ending soon and making everyone hate us. You folks are doing a great job.
@mattyoumans247@FezzikSports McVay should’ve taken the ball, put the Bills defense back on the field and let Stafford go right back to work. He was torching the Bills throughout the second half.
The critical coaching mistake happened when McVay got conservative and played for a field goal instead of going for a touchdown. There were a lot of head scratching coaching moves in the NFL this week. Two of them left teams with losses and the other left a team with a tie. Coaching blunders all around.
Yamamoto pitched only 2 2-3 innings against Milwaukee today. It was the shortest outing of his career when he’s started a game. The previous was 3 against the Padres in 2024.
@FmrRepMTG I’m left wondering why everyone else that supports this criminal can’t come to the same realization that MTG did. If only a few, including Mike Johnson, did, things might change. Impeachment needs to happen. If only Congress could grow a spine.
@OliviaNBCLA It’s sad that in the midst of what Bob Chesney is doing in Westwood, nobody has brought up the name Terry Donahue. Chesney has to be the best coach that the Bruins have had since Donahue.
@CFBKings Oh my God, where’s the flag? Alabama should be outraged. That’s a blatant pass interference. He’s coming back for the ball and has no opportunity to catch it, because the defender runs right into him.
