I’m glad Emi Martínez is finally being exposed for the fraud he is.

He’s been scamming goalkeeping awards off one big save in the 2022 World Cup. His entire PR has been built around that save and the fact that he plays for a club nobody really watches.

Now that he’s being watched week in, week out, people are finally seeing how bad he actually is.

One of the worst goalkeepers in the league.

@johngibbonsblog What helped it click in my American brain some years ago was connecting that playing a pass is essentially the same as snapping the ball in American football. You can’t cross the line until the ball is played. The line is different but the concept is identical.

@RobGutmann They are favorites to win the UECL, which would net them probably £12M or more. If they are near the top 7/8 of the table in Jan, there’s champions league possibilities. I don’t think they sell in Jan unless they have crashed out of the conference league or Glasner is at United.
