🌍🕊️ Today, June 15, is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, a crucial time to shine a light on the mistreatment that many elderly individuals face. Our elders deserve respect, dignity, and care—not abuse or neglect.

This day holds special significance for me as a daughter who fought on the front lines of the nursing home crisis daily for 6 months, but despite my relentless advocating, my mother suffered and died from what was undisputedly egregious neglect and abuse. We were robbed of the precious time she had left. It’s horrifying to think about what happens to residents without advocates.

It's the reason why I chose to produce "No Country For Old People," a documentary exposing the harsh realities within some nursing homes. The film unveils the truth about elder abuse and aims to spark change and compassion in our society.
