@whizyk: Re: Thou Shalt Not Scale" any good network architecct knows there r more than one ways to scale. Two r vertically & horizontally. Why one should not scale should be measurable in macro economics, AND moral is key: one means ensures scarcity & conflict.
@PatrickHarrisSr@JamesMartinSJ Legislators? They stand on the foundation of campaign contributions. The days of democracy and statesmanship, sadly, may be over.
Well, bless your heart. How much of labor’s processing is within the laborer’s control and individual responsibility. I can name a thousand use cases in the average suburban neighborhood.
But I’ll keep you in my prayers.
“The mechanism is always the same in every story I've been covering. The demo works in a controlled environment with clean inputs. The deployment fails because real kitchens, real intersections, and real warehouses produce messy inputs the demo never tested. The vendor gets paid through the failure cycle. The buyer eats the cost and quietly retires the product. If a pizza chef can lose $250,000 on a topping robot, the people writing $80 billion capex checks for general purpose AI agents should expect to learn the same lessons at much larger scale”
Rochester did not ask for these detention cells. We have shared our concerns and demanded transparency from the Trump Administration. We have been summarily ignored.
They picked the wrong community for that. We will fight back.
This new policy will force thousands of LEGAL immigrants, including spouses of US citizens, to leave their homes, families, and jobs for weeks or even months to get their green card outside the U.S.
This is an absurd and cruel policy.
Jeremy, can the State legislate against this, thus using its Divisional Powers as under the 10th Amendment of the Constitution?
Or does money and politics win?
Let me be clear. Putting detention centers in our downtown is against what Rochester stands for and will only hurt our community. We should all be speaking out against this horrible decision.
