@shagbark_hick I think kielbasa is singular and kielbasy is plural. In polish it is spelled kieลbasa, so no letter L. The letter after ie is its own letter. Sounds like ehw.
Grew up learning to make it with my family in West Utica. Good times. Lots of Canadian Whiskey was had.
@mattvanswol You are a good man.
Go Catholic. In particular a parish that offers the TLM, Traditional Latin Mass.
You'll probably find what you're looking for there.
The TLM is under assault in parts of NC, where I think you live. That tells you that it's worth finding.
@EricRSammons To follow the "Sunday starts at Sundown" logic:
A 4:00pm Saturday Mass does not start after sundown in the 48 states, as far as I know. So it's not a vigil Mass.
A 5:00pm Sunday Mass starts after sundown during part of DST in the late fall and winter. So it's a Monday Mass.
@JeremyTate41 But what you'll find if you come to visit is a vibrant community of people, many many young people and large families, striving for holiness and helping each other get to heaven.
We opened in 2018 and are busting at the seams.
My wife and I are in our 60s. We're the oldsters.
@JeremyTate41 That's our parish! St Mary in Conshohocken, PA (one of our sons is in the photo)
Our pastor has made it clear that the FSSP is not here to promote the TLM. Rather, they're here to attend to the spiritual needs of those of us attached to the TLM...
