Slow news day, sorry. It’s my microblog and im posting crochet/crafty projects when i need it
(for my son, chose 3 patterns that felt like ocean/beach/sky;
for our schizophrenic neighbor who talked about being a band roadie and might have put me in his will)
It’s hard to believe but this is a picture of the United States reflecting pool before the revolution happened. The US was once a very westernized country
@kaibosworth for art value to work it needs people who understand and/or appreciate it, which is knowledge that can’t be cultivated in a slop landscape
@StatisticUrban Israel has systematically ensured that the US remains codependent through wrapping everyone into the same spying/surveillance network and charging for it
@ughfinewhatever save old clothes instead of giving to thrift store, mop by boiling water in a kettle and pouring it on the floor and scooting your feet around on it with two old shirts
@cspacat S1 and 2 was some of the best tv I've ever seen and this is offensely bad in every way, like if you paid Sam Altman a billion dollars to make a vampire show. All I can think about is the K&P sketch

Resistance v refusal
Focus on doing tasks you most resist. Not tasks you know you don't want or need to do but the ones that generate internal conflict to question. Explore the boundary between what you are sure and not sure of as the point of access toward things not yet known.
Pleasure v joy
Joy is so fundamental to experience that many other feelings are attributed to it, but in practice is exclusive from pleasure. Joy is abundant, has no bitter aftertaste, and arises harmoniously with its surroundings. Pleasure is fleeting, conflicting, and elusive.
Wants v needs
What you want rules out everything that you need, and you can define them thus. A need is something non-negligible, while a want is entirely non-essential to your survival. Separating these allows for complete priority over your behavioral actions.
