@KornFerryTour@MarquetteMGolf@BahamasKFTour Steve Bailey is one of the most genuine and relationship-focused coaches I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Supporting his players this way is exactly who he is.
This is why the KFT is my favorite tour in the world.
The top-15 in Argentina is what the KFT is all about.
Talented guys who lost their card and starting the climb back: Suh
Huge upside of young talent: Cole Sherwood, Joe Weiler, Nate Stember
Guys who have grinded for long time but haven’t got to the Tour yet: Marcelo Rozo, Chandler Blanchet, Nate Stember (more to come on his story next week)
Longtime Vets: Rob Oppenheim, Tyler Duncan
All fighting for a chance at pga tour cards
Remember the good people in golf. (Stick with me on the long tweet)
A month ago KFT member Joe Weiler got married. At the wedding his Uncle Denny did a reading. Joe and he were close. Sadly on the Monday following the wedding Denny unexpectedly passed away.
That same week Joe and his wife Sophie spent their “honeymoon” at the KFT event in Colorado. Having just gotten married and losing his Uncle, there was almost no chance he was going to play well.
So of course with seven holes to play he was tied for the lead. On the 12th hole he went clear some debris around his ball and the ball moved. No one saw it. He called a penalty on himself. Made double. Finished T10.
Today in the final round of the KFT event he shot a final round 64 and finished T2. His best career finish.
@acaseofthegolf1 Completely agree. “Projected Cut” in misleading. If anything, it should be “Current Cut.” Casual fans at the tournaments look at me like I’m nuts when the “Projected Cut” is -3 and I tell them a player will need to be -7 to play the weekend.
@acaseofthegolf1 Golf is hard. As a parent, it’s one of the toughest sports as well. 7-mile, 5-hour walk. Walk for 5 min, stand for a min, hold your breath for 15 secs, rinse & repeat 72 times +/-. No substitutions. No yelling. Golf has a lot of hidden heroes. His empathy for his son is real.
@acaseofthegolf1 My daughter Emma was born at 12 Noon on 12/31/1994. Our first activity together was watching the Packers-Lions game that kicked off at 12:30. Hope your mom feels better soon!
@ScottNLehman@packers Dad and I used to drive from Wisconsin Rapids to the Rippin’ Good Cookie factory to buy boxes of seconds… and here’s my throwback Packer pic. 🟢🏈🟡 #GoPackGo
