@HatokTalk Reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, the anime version of Faye is stubborn and argumentative and reckless, and it makes her compelling and gives her texture and then the Netflix version of her is generically cute and lacks all of her original flaws.
@incontextmedia I've been hearing about what's been happening to Gaza for a while now, but I'm ashamed to say I've not sought out a lot of information about it until this video, so this is a good call from these actors because I bet a lot more people did the same as me.
Something that I think would be fun for Doctor Who is to have more frequent regenerations, you could get bigger and weirder actors if there were there for only a couple of episodes and you could get a very diverse range of actors too. Like how we got John Hurt for one story.
I mainly know Chris Hemsworth from Thor and when he played James Hunt in Rush, they're both of a similar sort of archetype so it's nice to see him play an absolute desert sicko in that Mad Max spinoff.
My pie in the sky dream is to have costumes and prosthetics for the none-humans rather than CGI, and also to have really good accurate and colorful costuming rather than generic fantasy dirt colour for everything.
My hope for the announced Legend of Zelda film is that they treat it like a serious high fantasy and don't go for classic Marvel / Rick & Morty -esque naturalistic dialogue. Obviously Zelda isn't fully serious but I'm imagining the first Hobbit film in terms of tone.
I choose to imagine that Yahtzee will just resume Zero Punctuation on his own in a few months time, he doesn't own the IP but The Escapist is about to lose so much money they won't be able to afford to sue him for it.
Yahtzee leaving The Escapist finally is such a shock, Zero Punctuation has been a consistent presence in my Wednesdays for 15 years. I'm pretty sure he'll be fine though, he's a proven success outside The Escapist whereas they're going to be dead and gone before the year's up.
Considering the other mass layoff/resignation incidents for that website I've been imagining that the higher-ups must have been moving heaven and earth to keep him there for all these years.
People are sharing that today is when Iron Man dies in the MCU timeline, but I remember when people said that Marty McFly arrives that day every day of 2015 so I don't trust it.
Just reached the fentanyl episode of Elementary. You can tell that the real NYPD demanded rewrites of this script because it gets very close to being critical of the NYPD and then chickens out.
Sherlock exposes the fentanyl contact myth, so when Marcus, their cop friend asks why so many cops he knows swear that they got a contact high from it, Sherlock says some obvious bullshit about the placebo effect causing them to develop very symptoms with the same potency.
