@POferriesupdate I totally get it's not your fault there, and you're probably having a morning from hell too. Mine just smells a bit more like cat sick.

@POferriesupdate The thing is we checked in at 06:53, we've been in the port for over 4 hours already and looking at least another hour and a half before we leave? Our whole journey door to door is normally about 10 hours so this is turning into a much longer day than we planned.

@POferriesupdate 2/2 we wouldn't be able to check in with anyone else? We've driven through the night knowing today would be busy but the cat's now getting stressed, we'd hoped to be home by now.

@POferriesupdate Would you be able to help us with booking another crossing if it's not guaranteed we'll be on this crossing? We've looked into it as DFDS have a confirmed sailing at 12:50 with space but as we're already checked in and sat in the boarding lanes 1/2

@POferriesupdate Can we guarantee getting on the 12:00? If that's now delayed til 12:45 we'll have been at the port for 6 hours by then.

@POferriesupdate We've just heard this in the lane for the 10:30, We've got a cat in the car and 3 hours wait is just too much for her. Is there any way we can get an alternative crossing sooner with another operator? And is there any compensation for the delay?

@POferriesupdate It seems we're being put on the delayed 10:30 instead, there's someone directing traffic now. When I checked the schedule last night there was a 09:40, was that one cancelled?

@POferriesupdate We've got a pet with us so 2 hrs is a long wait, we got to check in about 2hrs ago as it is, there's a few of us in the same queue and we're not sure what's happening

@POferriesupdate Hi, we were checked in for the 08:20 but were delayed at UK border and missed it, will we be able to get on the next sailing? I thought there was a 09:40 but that seems to have disappeared

@DFDSUKUpdates We allowed extra time and now we're already at the front of the boarding lane for the 16:35, do you know if there's any chance of getting onto the 14:20 instead? We've got a cat with us so it's a long time for her to wait
