“Hi. My name is Rose and I’m 13 years old. The family that I thought I would be with forever dumped me at BARCS because I’m old and losing weight. They don’t see that I also don’t feel well. I’m scared and I don’t understand why I’m in a cage here instead of my home … I know that I am old but I also know that I still have plenty of love to give and deserve a home with a family that will love me back.”

CCAD stepped up and pulled Rose from BARCS because she was believed to have diabetes, and we are one of the only local rescues that treat diabetics. Rose went to the vet and it was discovered that she does not have diabetes, but instead has intestinal lymphoma.

Now we need the help of our community! Rose will start medication to slow the progression of the disease but what we really need right now is a FOSPICE HOME for Rose. We don’t know how long Rose will be on this earth but it should be spent in a loving home, not a shelter.

We at CCAD believe that all animals are worthy of a life of love and dignity. We want to provide that for Rose. Can you help us by donating towards her vet care and stabilization? Please help to share her story and maybe someone will be able to give her a loving home that she deserves.
