Given their tax rate is indeed very high, why aren't they paying "their fair share" now? Because they always find a loophole.

@RichEffects @Agape_OSULA @VaughnWest61 @PeteGClark @CapThunderpunch @POTUS While that's a problem, incentives for companies to pay laborers more (a nice fat corporate tax deduction for companies that pay their people at 200% of minimum wage) makes more sense than taxing billionaires more. But the government wants money, not for us to have more money.

Taking more billionaire money isn't going to make my life, or anybody's life (except perhaps a few government bureaucrats) life any better, at all. It's not going to improve the country or pay down debt. It's a debate about something that does not matter.

Any 25% tax on billionaires isn't going to improve the quality of life for your average American at all, or even begin to pay down our debt, and whatever money would be raised--if any--would not end up in the citizen's pocket, or community.

The government is not a responsible steward of our money. I think a flat tax of about 1% would be "fair" for our bloated government.

While there is waste involved in the expenditures (road projects moreso than national parks), at least we get something good out of it. I expect we could save a trillion a year but reducing middle-management within the bureaucracy

@princessSunrey @PeteGClark @POTUS ... but the majority of money the government spends does not go to improving anything for anybody, except a select few that now how to work the system (individuals and corporations). Alas! Would be nice, though. And I do indeed enjoy the roads.

I don't object in principal to everyone putting something in the pot for nice roads (and dams, and national parks, and space exploration) ...

Somehow there's not a "tax the rich" proposal that doesn't end up costing the middle-class significantly more as a percentage of purchasing power, in any number of ways.

@PeteGClark @POTUS If the government spent the money responsibly, we certainly would need to raise any taxes, but we'd be hugely better off. Alas, gone are the days with the government built interstates and dams and bridges and National Park lodges and did other productive things with our money.

The fundamental problem, though, is that the games featuring Sweet Baby "consultancy" have been uniformly awful, and most of them flops if not actively resulting in bankruptcy for the company employing them. Woke or not, the games SB has a hand in seem to be unappealing to gamers

@MattWalshBlog I was excited about Disney taking over Star Wars when it was first announced. Seriously excited. But I was thinking about Toy Story 3, The Incredibles, even Tangled. A little Tron Legacy. That was the Disney I was thinking of. I was tragically mistaken.

@MattWalshBlog OMG. What sort of benefit must there be to Iger and company to not just torch a franchise the spent $4b on but just burn money, pointlessly? It would be more profitable to them to just not make any more Star Wars at this point. I don't understand what they are thinking.
