And in volume 4, there are scenes where Yang is still struggling with Blake abandoning her, in the room with Weiss.

It has fantastic world building potential after all. Sun did indeed help, but Yang is the one who helped anchor Blake, especially in the battle against Adam.

Of course she wouldn’t help, she has her own trauma to cope with, and the whole point is that they couldn’t see how much Ruby was going through and how they could reconnect and recover as a team.
