The teaser trailer for Robert Eggers' upcoming gothic horror Werwulf is most likely attached to Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, which opens in June, or Christopher Nolan's epic The Odyssey, which opens in July.

Robert Eggers initially planned to shoot Werwulf, his new gothic thriller, in black and white but then chose to shoot in color. Eggers shot his new masterwork on 35mm film in the historic 1.37:1 Academy ratio, almost identical to his 2019 horror/fantasy, The Lighthouse, which was in 1.19:1, to create a confined—claustrophobic—feeling while simultaneously providing artistic views of spooky surroundings.
Werwulf opens in theaters Christmas Day.
