At The Door, we’re proud to stand with young people. Read the article here: https://t.co/SNy6snUmDd

The court’s ruling makes one thing clear: you can’t bypass the law to punish vulnerable kids. These SIJS recipients escaped abuse and neglect in their home countries and deserve protection while they build their lives here.
The Trump admin's unlawful rollback was a moral and legal failure. We must protect vulnerable youth.
16-year-old Bronx student Joel Camas arrived at his ICE check-in with his lawyer, paperwork, and a backpack for school.
He followed the rules. He was detained anyway.
We’re fighting for Joel’s release with @NYCLU. Read @nytimes’ coverage.

Tricia McLaughlin, a DHS spokeswoman, said ICE is not targeting kids. But as so often, she is lying.

Joel Camas is a 16-year-old NYC high-school junior in the Bronx. He loves soccer & pepperoni pizza.
We accompanied him to an ICE check-in yesterday. He has Special Immigrant Juvenile Status—it should have been fine.
But it was not.💔

His lawyer, the indomitable @BethBaltimore from @Door_NYC, is preparing a habeas petition with @NYCLU. I pray it works, and soon. He was eager to get back to class.
But Bronx HS student Dylan Contreras is still in ICE detention, after he was taken back in May.
We proudly stand together with our partners to ensure that no young person faces these challenges alone. Learn more about The Door at https://t.co/pi6IiFvXji. #DoorNYC
