Whoever observes fasts during Ramadān out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allāh's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.

"Do not let the obstruction of this Dunya (world) ruin your true path."

Whoever did not fast for one day of Ramadān without excuse then even if he fasted for a complete year,it would not compensate for that day.
