There’s no scarcity of love and grace in Jesus. Draw deeply from that well today. Drink till your soul satisfies with the certainty of your security and belonging in him. Then love others from that supply. It is in being convinced we are loved completely that we love unselfishly.
Truth Over Tribe: Christian takes on Culture, News & Politics https://t.co/fqJGuyMuCQ this conversation was helpful in understanding some of the current climate for me—the very last moment was especially challenging, yet hope-filled.
@MelissaMoore77 I am in tears listening to your mom @BethMooreLPM describe a “doria” kind of gift in Romans. When you tweet about tea from here on out, I will always be thinking of your tea set from Donna and God’s gracious, sovereign benefaction of favor. 🤍
@joshdryer @Rondell_Trevino how they had to wait 4 months to have his funeral and cld only have 50 people attend. Let’s just say, I was thankful that I had been talking those two hours before she shared about her husband, about the goodness of God with her through a mask.
@joshdryer @Rondell_Trevino Ugh, this is the worst response. Last week I sat next to a woman on a 5hr flight who, after 2hrs of talking, shared that she lost her husband of 53 years, 2 years ago. He was one of the 1st covid deaths, how he was only sick for 5 days, how she had to say goodbye on zoom, 1/2
If our Christianity causes us to look at how a poor person spends their welfare check with inherent suspicion all while we look at how the exorbitantly rich accumulate mass amounts of wealth with inherent admiration, we need a grand reversal.
Beware of leaders who stoke your anger and fear towards others, rather than your compassion and love.
They are only seeking power over you, rather than power for and with you.
Sometimes you will be the villain in someone else’s narrative and you need to become ok with this. But you are not responsible for their version, perceptions, or expectations of you. Don’t believe their idea of you over who you really are.
@janeelisabethh You’re never without. You’re mighty and fierce in your love for Him & His mighty and fierce love fills you to overflowing. You’re the aroma of Christ. You’re like a walking flower, recognized for the scent of heaven you release. You’re His chosen. You’re stronger than you know.
@janeelisabethh Jane, you are the mouthpiece of heaven. you have been given a keen awareness of God and His Kingdom. You speak life into darkness and light where there is no hope. You are the walking, living, breathing expression of God’s heart. you are His and He is yours. You are never alone.
Oftentimes, being human means being in a place of hurting but still hoping.
Hoping doesn’t mean we ignore reality. No, hoping means we acknowledge reality in the very same breath that we acknowledge God’s sovereignty.

Rulers of nations have come and gone for 2000 years but the church remains. We did not know all that would befall us 4 years ago nor do we know the times ahead. But the task of the church remains unchanged: to know Christ & make him known. To be salt & light in this time & place.
