The Chinese authorities have the right to arrest anyone from all over the world even you're neither HK citizens nor Chinese, they have the right to arrest you if you violate the "Chinese Security Law" that we understand as the speech crime.
First time in #HK's history: #hongkongers are warned that their flags, banners, slogans or other behaviours during demonstrations or protests may be arrested on charges of "secession" or "subversion of state power" under #NationalSecurityLaw, which was once only found in #China.
I hereby declare withdrawing from demosisto, and continue the fight for democracy and freedom for Hong Kong with my personal capacity.
Stay strong, my friends. Hong Kong people will not give up.
This law is ridiculous.
Art. 38 (non-HK citizens) (who are not even in HK) (who have done what is prohibited in this law) (will also be considered to have violated this Law) [v rough translation]
Guess that’s me then.
BREAKING: HK01 reports the NPC in Beijing will tonight propose a ‘Hong Kong version of the national security law’. Stresses this is *not* Article 23, but it may well be A23 in all but name. HK waiting on tenterhooks as the final nail in the coffin beckons.

HK01 reports that Beijing will propose national security legislation for #HongKong today, by putting into Annex 3 of the Basic Law.
If true, this means Beijing will criminalise certain activities in Hong Kong without oversight for the local legislature.
#BREAKING#HongKong: Beijing will propose a new National Security legislation for Hong Kong in order to "plug the loopholes" by directly putting the clauses into Annex 3 of Basic Law, HK's mini consitution, @hk01official reports. Details to be announced in #NPC's presser tonight.
This is a disaster.
@DominicRaab@tariqahmadbt@nadams@UKinHongKong we've been holding out and holding out some more, hoping that we could salvage something from the Joint Declaration.
We cannot hold out any more. Beijing is making its move on #HongKong and we MUST act now.
BREAKING: According to HK01, Beijing will announce sweeping new national-security protocols on #HongKong as early as tonight by listing it under the Basic Law's Annex III — which allows the territory to enforce Chinese laws — thus avoiding the local lawmaking process.
With Hong Kong's protest movement halted by coronavirus restrictions, protesters are resisting through a "yellow economy," a philosophy of boycotting China & supporting shops that openly support democratic change.
