disc rot is the biggest load of hoopla this hobby has ever had. yes some CD/DVD/BDs have disc rot due to manufacturing defects (INCREDIBLY rare) physical media isnt a ticking time bomb thats gonna explode/not work after a set amount of years. all disc drives eventually give out

Me as well as many other have brought up this very point about Game Pass that even Xbox studio leadership is bringing up. GP has conditioned millions of gamers to not buy games & expect them to the service. Studio heads really dislike the model as it is.
