MrBeast spends $3 to 4 million per video, and most of them lose money. This one, with the explosion, the 100 cops, and months of trap-building, will probably lose money too. He said he'll spend a quarter of a billion dollars on videos this year alone.

Sounds like the worst business on earth until you look at where the money actually comes from.

Feastables, his chocolate brand, brought in roughly half of Beast Industries' $450 million in revenue last year. The media side lost over $110 million in 2024. Investors looked at all of that and valued the company at $5 billion anyway.

The math explains why.

A Super Bowl ad runs about $8 million for 30 seconds in front of 120 million people, once. An average MrBeast video pulls close to 250 million views and holds attention for half an hour, with his own products in frame whenever he wants them there.

$4 million for that reach makes each video one of the cheapest ad buys in media. Hollywood needs the film itself to profit. Jimmy just needs you watching when the chocolate shows up on screen.

The most watched channel in history is a marketing expense for a candy bar.
