Hi everyone - I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer. #OpenToWork https://t.co/HM6jG9a8Oy
Why wait until the funeral before we start gushing about someone’s best attributes? What if we all started “eulogizing” people while they are still with us? What if we started offering ten praises for every one “concern?” Imagine how such encouragement could change things.
When sinners invited Jesus to their parties, he went. When crooks, prostitutes, gluttons, and drunks came near, he welcomed and ate with them.
Before they repented.
How about us?
If our voices aren’t adding love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to the atmosphere, then we ought to reconsider our postures.
There is much hurt in the world. The Spirit’s fruit is our resource to protect, mend, and heal.
When sinners invited Jesus to their parties, he went. When crooks, prostitutes, gluttons, and drunks came near, he welcomed and ate with them.
Before they repented.
How about us?
In America, leaders make a name for themselves to become famous, and sometimes treat Jesus as a means to that end. In Jesus, leaders make his name famous and treat their own positions, abilities, and influence as a means to that end.
Two things I have learned very acutely over the last five years:
1) You are capable of failing in a way that is unthinkable to you right now.
2) God’s love and forgiveness are big enough to cover the fact that your greatest failure may be in front of you.
DIos pone su ley en el corazon del creyente—no para que este se valide en su obediencia, sino para que este vea su miseria y corra a Cristo. Después vienen frutos dignos de arrepentimiento.
When we foolishly wander off, he comes after us, finds us, picks us up and carries us home—every time. No matter where you go, how far you run, or how stubborn your roaming may be, he will never stop coming for you with infinite amounts of gritty grace and forgiving force.
