@BBCPM@EvanHD Laura ought to have been aware of/able to explain that there are two ‘headline’ numbers for public sector net debt, but as a community note, it is worth knowing that there are two series for this statistic one of which falls over the period and the other (ex BOE), which rises.

@moving_charlie People would be amazed how strong the correlation of CPIH adjusted AWEs are with so many economic outcomes. Only problem is the publication delay (17 Oct release is for end August), so whilst it’s got strong predictive power, it’s no use for the act of making actual predictions.
