Borrowed this idea from another school. I love how it highlights the strengths of students’ exceptional work. Big and bright for all to see!

My favorite end of the year activity is when students make awards for one another! I will miss this class so much! Have a great summer!

[Allison Dorau @dorausclass]

We answered the questions we brainstormed yesterday using the “numbered heads together” Kagan strategy. Ss worked in groups to answer questions and one student was randomly chosen by rolling a dice to share their group’s answer. #engagePrairie @prairie512

[Allison Dorau @dorausclass]

Students used The Question Spinner to help themselves write questions about the expository text we read, “Wildfires”. #engagePrairie @prairie512

[Allison Dorau @dorausclass]

Student experts created posters to teach their classmates new vocabulary words. Then, student leaders led students in actions to remember new words. Love getting students out of their seats and moving whenever possible! #engagePrairie ⁦@prairie512⁩

We are using Fan N Pick to practice replacing nouns with pronouns. I love cutting up worksheets and using them in a more engaging way! #engagePrairie @prairie512
