it honestly makes me sad that all of this had to happen to kk in the first place. i think this situation goes beyond just one person, because a project like this is created by many people from the writing stage to production. the historical context and sensitivity should’ve been considered more carefully overall.

and it must’ve been really heavy having to go through all of this.. sometimes even when you’re only holding one page of the story, you still end up feeling the weight of the entire book.

Perfect Crown had all the ingredients to be a legendary drama. But trying to balance a complex, modern constitutional monarchy, heavy corporate chaebol politics, AND a deep contract to real love romance in just 12 episodes the script was moving so fast it felt like a summary.
Let me be clear: The drama itself is a masterpiece. The story is brilliant, the romance is historic, and IU and Byeon Woo-seok gave us absolute career defining, powerhouse performances. But MBC and the production executives genuinely did this beautiful script a disservice by forcing it into a tight 12 episode limit. They built this incredibly complex, high stakes world blending modern constitutional monarchy with deep political warfare a story that should have gotten 16 episodes
Imagine how much more profound the emotional payoffs and the political fallout would have been if the production team had actually trusted this story enough to give it four more episodes to breathe. #perfectcrown
