How is this only 39.3 MB? Yes, the editor.
Real Doriax scenes: the Lighthouse, a dive beneath its water, a virtual home in daylight and after dark, and Danger Jungle.
Doriax v0.8.2 is out!
Faster 3D shadows, a full screen view for the running scene (F11), better reflections on rough surfaces, new terrain foliage distance settings and many fixes, including non-ASCII paths and Windows builds.
Doriax Engine v0.8 is out!
• Water with reflections, refraction, caustics, foam, an underwater view, and buoyancy for 3D bodies
• Terrain foliage and object placement brushes, detail layers by height and slope, and new sculpt brushes
• Post-processing passes and forkable shaders with your own uniforms
• Mesh LOD with meshoptimizer, an optional depth prepass, leaf transmission, and instance distance fade
• Physics interpolation, on by default, and Box2D or Jolt can be left out of an export
• Loading scenes, scene preloading, and child scenes from Lua or C++
• An MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or any other can use the editor's tools
• FBX import, a detachable camera in Play, touch simulation, and code editor improvements
• AdMob, in-app purchases, and web portal SDKs for CrazyGames, Poki, GameDistribution, Yandex Games, and YouTube Playables
• Source Code export with its own build script, and Docker and Nix builds for the editor

Mesh LOD just landed in Doriax.
Distant meshes automatically drop to simplified geometry.
The trick: levels aren't picked by distance rings, but by how much geometric error would actually land on screen.
Doriax Engine v0.7 is out 🚀
A new backend architecture, project-level scene and bundle management, custom build hooks, and high DPI support. Free and open source (MIT), for Windows, Linux and macOS.
Main changes of this version:
• The editor and the engine now share the same backends: the editor runs on native X11, Win32 and Cocoa backends that the engine uses too, instead of being a separate layer with its own
• Project → Bundles... marks bundles that are always built into the project, making them available to any scene at runtime, referenced or not
• Project → Scenes... adds and removes scenes from the project in one place, without touching the files, and scenes and bundles outside the project are greyed out in Resources
• Script directories: a folder inside your project becomes both an include root and a compile root, so every .cpp under it is built even when no entity references it, in editor builds and in exports
• ProjectBuild.cmake in your project root for your own CMake, since the generated CMakeLists.txt is overwritten on every rebuild; the editor never touches it and exports pick it up
• The editor now works with different DPI scales, and restores its window and dock layout at the current scale
• TextComponent supports up to three fallback fonts, checked in order when the main font is missing a character, plus Arabic and RTL text through HarfBuzz and SheenBidi
• The editor idles when nothing changes, plus a dense component type index, a shared Jolt job pool, glTF texture deduplication and a compacted shadow atlas
• Projected spotlight masks, hardware PCF for projective shadows, a Render in Probes flag on reflection probes, and graphic backend selection in the Export window
• Image viewer window, folder import in Resources, Save as Bundle in the Structure context menu, parent scene navigation, and an editor log file with a crash report and backtrace
• Terrain LOD and crack fixes, glTF skinning and animation fixes, vec3 vertex colors, and submesh edits preserved across model reloads
• New System.quit, body pose accessors, an editable sensor flag on Body3DComponent, a Mirror object class, and scene raycasts that ignore specific entities
• On macOS the menu is now part of the system, following the design standard for every Mac application
