So I made a post yesterday about horror movies

And I think it was my mistake for not making the post more detailed

I highlighted an aspect of that genre which is “fear” and I saw a lot of reactions as most people picked apart the fear thing

Let’s leave that for a minute,

Here’s what made me very worried, Very very worried

I saw comments by fellow Christians saying

“Not everything is to be spiritualized”

“Sometimes a movie is just a movie”

“Not every thing you bring God inside”

“Horror movies is an art form and writers are just expressing themselves “

Ahhhhhhhhh

Dear child of God,

Do you really believe that there are vacuums in this life?

Are you not aware that the devil is the “prince of this world” and will use any and everything to try to derail you from the narrow way?

Everything is a tool

Music

Art

Fashion

Movies

Dance

Literature

The first temptation the devil brought to Jesus was for him to eat bread

Normal bread

Food oooooo

But the devils agenda was not the food

It took Jesus’s discernment to see that this was not just food but a temptation to get him to start taking orders from the devil

I think that we underestimate the devil and his bag of tricks

If there is anything the devil has mastered it is “going undercover”

Hiding in plain sight

He can even transform and look like an Angel of light

This is exactly what He told eve, it’s just a fruit

How bad can it be???

So He will hide the poison inside the “Apple”

I used to read Romance novels

I loved literature, I love the art of beautiful story telling and I would tell myself that it was ok

All I was interested in was the art of writing

But trust them to always sneak up those scenes on you

Those steamy pages particularly tailored to fan the flames of lust and sensuality in your heart

And it would drain me and drain me of any virtue I tried to gather

I had to decide

What’s more important? My soul or this??

We are slowly being indoctrinated by the worlds systems and we don’t know it

They tell you there’s a good witch and a bad witch

They cast spells and conjure darkness

We sit and smile and drink everything

People expose sensitive parts of the body

We say it’s fashion and it’s self expression

They sing about drunkenness, project women as sex objects and promote lewdness

We say it’s rhythm and vibes and we clap for how talented musicians are

Where do we draw the line?

When do we see the “ world” for what it is?

The aim is to make us adjust, to become comfortable with sin and corruption

We now mix light and darkness and it’s become a weak shade of grey

No longer potent in transforming lives

And so like Samson we can lie on Delilah’s lap and say “I’ll just stand up and shake myself”

Because we are very strong

We are enlightened, after all we are in the jet age of knowledge

I don’t know about you

I’ll rather er on the side of caution

I’ll rather do too much “spiricoco” than allow myself a cheap target

Me I’m not like you

I’m not too strong

I want to go to heaven

I want to See Jesus

I don’t know everything, everyday He teaches me more and more

But my heart is open to learn and to let go of whatever will not edify my spirit

I’ll leave it here🙏

I sincerely pray that God will Open the eyes of our understanding.
