@ulfcytel Tolkien is an author that deserves shelf space in the right homes in the most beautiful editions available. I have a goal of owning the Silmarillion in every Germanic language into which it has been translated. I'm far from the goal but getting there.
Inconsequential tidbit: Much love to the writers who put out gargantuan tomes but I find that as the years go by I'm less inclined to give the requisite time to doorstopper-sized books. I know I'll never read Proust's Lost Time series and I'm good with that.
@ulfcytel Have you read Dumezil's "Loki"? The English translation has been out of print for decades. I managed to snag a copy in the original French. Thing is, I can't read a lick of French. At least not yet...
