I'm so proud and thankful to be part of the @InciSioNGlobal advocacy team for a second year, working towards our common goal of safe surgical care for everyone, everywhere on this planet. Let's make 2022 a successful year for #globalsurgery!
#TheFutureOfTheOR#SoMe4Surgery
We are proud to announce the InciSioN International Team 2022: 98 members from 43 countries (66 LMICS & 32 HICs) with 56 women & 42 men, speaking over 40 languages amongst them!
Wishing the team a successful year working towards #GlobalSurgery for all!
#TheFutureOfTheOR
@InciSioNGlobal Advocate for equity in healthcare and pressure policy makers to fight for a fair distribution of vaccines on a global scale! #Vaccines4All
@InciSioNGlobal Yes, because many surgeries had to be postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic. Vaccines will reduce the need of resources and medical staff for Covid patients and surgeries are going to be performed as planned again.
@InciSioNGlobal Success of western medical institutions, e.g. in vaccine development, is build on the exploitation of other countries. This has to be recognised and kept in mind. We need to work together as a global community and listen to each other in order to ensure equity in healthcare.
@InciSioNGlobal Hi everyone, my name is Dorothée Sartorius, I'm a 5th year med student from Germany and part of @InciSioNGlobal's IT. I'm trying my best to make Global Surgery more popular in Germany where unfortunately it's not very known yet around the medical community.
@InciSioNGlobal Prejudices, driscrimination, wrong and outdated assumptions, lack of support... Female students and trainees need to be encouraged and mentored on their way to become surgeons! We can be everything we want to be! Let's make it happen that every girl grows up knowing this!
@InciSioNGlobal During my last internship, I was asked to switch my position as second assistant with a male student cause they thought I couldn’t handle the weight. Told them I could do it and it went without any problems. Being small and a woman doesn't mean being weak!
