@VenturaWanderer@Akumabat People from what I've come across are generally very calm and like the calm and chill vibe from the series. Though I've been seeing a few of these pop up, but it's mostly from these engagement accounts that post inflammatory stuff for attention.
@BrandonRTalks Someone can just go "you know what I'm not really into this like I was originally" and leave it at that. But this performative trash is just there to reassure the peer pressure hivemind that I'm 100% on your page. This just shows they're emotionally stunted adults.
@luketa_luketa I think most people are just memeing (though internet irony and sincerity merge more then it should and it becomes hard to tell). But there could be those few who hold the headcanon they formed in the last few days too tightly.
This ones weird, because these are all under the same canon. So it be like putting someone with slightly different stats and equipment against himself (minus boom and werehog since his whole body transformed)
I can't learn Japanese quick enough to completely leave the western side of this fanbase. Much rather have Sonic cute posting over people treating a game like a politician's failed campaign promises.
@BlueGenesis4 @SoaHCity What I like best from it is that is the type of artstyle you can really see in motion, since the cartoon inspiration is really clear.
Part of the issue with spark was that iirc even the creator was going in on this type of comparison and using the game as proof that this is what Sonic should be. I could be misremembering, but it's what I remember seeing from his channel.
"Sonic's stupid friends" complaint was always non sensical. Since the only mainline game that didn't have them was Sonic 1 since they hadn't been created yet.
So they where behemothley advocating to go back to Sonic 1, a game most of these critics agree aged poorly.
