Meanwhile Article 88 (5) of the Constitution➡️ “The Attorney-General shall be responsible for the institution and conduct of all civil cases on behalf of the State; and all civil proceedings against the State shall be instituted against the Attorney-General as defendant”
The Attorney Gene Dominic Ayine has sued Zoomlion owner Joseph Siaw Agyapong on some debt owed on the DRIP Machines procurement.
Meanwhile, the government owes him in excess.
Interesting how Paul explained it 😂
That’s how I was having a very nice convo with some guy and he was talking about how stressful his work gets and I said “sucks to be you” and this guy replied with seriousness “you are a bad girl, you want to suck me” like wtf 😂🤦🏾♀️

Congratulations on your successful thesis defence, Doctor. In your case, this terminal degree is merely a confirmation of what you have always been. Cheers 🍾 @NoahAdamtey
i have a lot of disagreements with @NoahAdamtey . but i have come to appreciate his genuineness in espousing principled positions while entertaining dissent from all.
The NDC government has started completing the agenda 111 hospitals to serve the people of Ghana and also to post the Nurses and Doctors, they have uncapped the NHIS, introduced Mahama cares for diseases that are not under the NHIS scheme like Kidney disease and more, they also said we won’t wait for you to fall sick first so we are introducing Free Primary Healthcare and adding small tricycles that will be going road to check your vitals completely free of charge and give emergency health services to it’s citizens. Container clinics will also be made available in specific locations where u can walk in to check your health status.
Then Hon Agbodza too is saying while the Hospitals are being built let’s build roads across the nation to connect communities, boost local trade and tourism and make transportation between places better, before that we will pay all the contractors the previous administration didn’t pay so they can work very well. Everybody will be okay. The big push
Wey Energy Minister too say as all this is going on ill keep the lights running. The places with old transformers will be upgraded. I’ll add more energy plants to the national grid but i will also clear the energy debt. In the mean time here is 1.47 billion to clear parts of the debt.
And Ato Forson say oh then if all this is going on then let me stabilise the dollar so that those who import and export can know what they are about. The dollar dier between 10-12 cedis naa maybe once a while dier ego tii fa so but normally tha be where ego Dey. While doing this I’ll be paying the loans we owe and do my best to exit the IMF programs. I’ll also reduce inflation drastically. And remove unnecessary taxes. So that the contractors who are working on the big push, those building the hospitals, the energy companies working to improve our power grid can all work very smoothly.
Wey Hon Okudzeto too say make you guys no forget me o. The passport dier obi necessary for every Ghanaian to have plus you for no stress to get am. Within 2 weeks you should have your passport if you apply. No middleman, even if you want make we deliver am seff we go do am. Some countries Dey seff we for no struggle to get visa so visa free agreements dier we go do plenty. Some countries no get Ghana embassies we will build them, ghana had several properties abroad that have been stolen illegally recover them. And bring back our glory ont he international stage. I’ll also work to bring the world to Ghana so they come and invest in our economy, by th time they come our roads will be good, constant power and good health care and more
Wey KalyJay too say while all this is going on I’ll be helping fight anyone who will make the Government unpopular, letting the good people of Ghana know what the NDC government is doing, if they are not doing anything right too I’ll tell them and once a while I’ll tweet Aban Papa Aba to give the opposition BP.
Dear young lawyer,
No matter where you stand politically, try and spend some time with Tsatsu Tsikata.
You will be wowed by perspective, shaped to be humble and energized to pursue excellence.
If we take a step back a bit, we will realize that most legal problems, at least those involving statutory construction, stem from poor drafting or undue diligence during the legislative process.
I remember being in my final year at the University of Ghana when the debate over creating the OSP reached its peak. I remember quite vividly a debate held within the SRC building at Legon on whether the OSP was necessary and could be constitutionally created by an Act of Parliament.
The opinions expressed today were similar, if not identical, to those raised in 2017.
At least, on the constitutional hurdle created by Article 88, it was clear that the mandate to prosecute was exclusively that of the Attorney General unless so properly delegated.
Yet, out of sheer ecstasy and the urge to appeal to certain constituents about our commitment to fighting corruption, we hurriedly passed the OSP Act. What we could have achieved by way of Amendment of Article 88, we pursued through mere legislation.
But like all legal problems, unless eliminated, they usually remain alive in the shadows. And in 2026, we are at it again.
Instead of now pushing the burden on the courts to determine the proper configuration of the Attorney General's authority in a highly reactionary and politicized atmosphere, we could have done so in 2017 through proper legislation.
All of this is to remind us that Parliament is not merely a chamber of passing laws for their necessity's sake. It must also pass laws for propriety's sake.
If we had thoroughly considered whether it was proper to do what we wanted to do with OSP through mere legislation, we would have saved ourselves time, mental power, and even money.
Today, we battle needlessly in court for our failures to do the proper thing in 2017.
Today’s lawyer must think of herself above and beyond just being a hired gun. Today’s lawyer must assess how he impacts his society through the laws he drafts and the cases he defends.
The failures in the OSP Act are originally the failures of lawyers. Some lawyers drafted the law. Some Attorney General departments supervised it. Some lawyers in parliament assisted in shaping it through the legislative process. And finally, a lawyer assented to it.
It is all lawyers from the top to the bottom. We, lawyers, must take seriously what we do and be careful at it.
For our deeds impact society.
If our advice hasn’t worked, I’m sure advice from our President will. Let’s listen to President Dr. John Dramani Mahama as he speaks on kidney failure 👏🏼😂
