feels hollow when a sci fi story tries to jazz up the mundane like calling chicken nuggets "poultrites" or something. a story should start by having the main character eat 200 pop tarts. the reader instantly starts thinking "what made a world where eating 200 pop tarts is normal"
@afrocosmist For me, it’s more pathetic than anything. Right wing futurism used to produce some crackhead ideas that were at least creative. This is just scaling up Doordash. Their big project is that we go to Mars and watch TV and eat fast food there. Ok. Seems like you could do that here
dude trust me it’s a general strike. It’s for real this time. I saw it on an infographic. but it’s not a “strike” in the sense of “not working.” You can strike by shopping at small businesses. You can strike by feeling joy.
Generative AI is a lazy shortcut for people who can’t create in a given medium to make passable stand-ins for the real thing to the untrained eye, and it’s pretty funny, given what the movie is about and how it’s packaged, that one of those people is Brady Corbet
