This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed.

This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities.

Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery.

Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children.

Abolish ICE.

Mamdani can’t stop the sale of West Bank lands happening in synagogues. He can’t. He has to abide by state and federal law.

Mamdani literally spearheaded the Not On Our Dime Act to prohibit nonprofits from selling West Bank lands. It hasn’t passed yet, but it’s still in the NY assembly committee waiting for a vote.

If you want to help Palestine then learn what’s actually going on and how to effectively advance change.

What Mamdani can do is at least have part of his research team keep track of these sales and share any state violations to the AG. I put together a proposal for this and shared it with his office. These are things we can actually leverage by acting effectively. It’s reaching a point where I think some people are actually acting in a self defeating manner.

I disagree with Hasan on this. I think he’s overstating what Zohran can do or how he’s failed to uphold promises or betrayed anyone. For example Zohran has no ability to stop those illegal land sales. It’s outside his jurisdiction. Whether this is some kind of pandering to his audience or his genuine beliefs, I don’t really know, but I think a platform of his size should be used to promote solidarity and not throwing Zohran to the wolves. I think it’s damaging to the movement. Especially with the language that was used towards him today. That should be discouraged in our movement. I got people calling me a liberal Zionist right now like this shit is not healthy man.
