⠀ Bored out of her mind, Narcissa noticed someone who caught her eye in the unimpressive crowd. She moved through the people, her movements swifter than those on the dance floor. "Are you as boring as them?" she asked, simply, offering her hand.

“I’m worried about you,” she said simply. The question had sounded like a deflection, and she wasn’t going to let it slide. “Like always,” she added with a soft smile. “You can trust me, you know? If something’s wrong.”

Narcissa browsed the Hogwarts library, not really sure where to start — she knew she’d fail Herbology anyway. That was, until she spotted Alice, head buried in a book. A mischievous little smile tugged shyly at her lips as she made her way over.

She caressed his hair softly before placing a plate of pancakes in front of him. Narcissa loved having Regulus at her house — it made her feel like she had a purpose. “You seem worried, kiddo,” she said gently, taking a seat beside him.
She liked attention — who doesn’t? She knew she attracted curious eyes, and she was never shy to stare back. She was a flirt, a tease even… but that wasn't information you got easily.
Narcissa had no unrealistic expectations when it came to love. She knew no prince in shining armor would save her — especially since she needed no saving. She felt whole, complete, unbothered. So anyone who came into her life had to fight to add something substantial.
