In 1992, Microsoft released a Sound Card that targeted businesses with talking spreadsheets. It can kind of play games too. Sorta. Check out my retrospective of this ill-fated card in my new video! https://t.co/OEMdzuKkMG
Any fellow humans left on this platform? I haven't posted lately but here is my latest Galaxy of Games thing. :) Watch it here: https://t.co/jxcaJX8Yp7
@JTHEFOOL777@Pirat_Nation While that is true, people need to quit fighting secure boot and TPMs. Even on Linux you should be using them IMHO. The tech has been around for over a decade now, and does provide security advantages.
@sebastianpeak Thanks man, I appreciate that! TBH After seeing other's experiences about him, I kind of feel sorry for this guy more than anything. He has been on YouTube doing this stuff since 2007. He is likely 40+ years old. Seems like a thing a sane person would stop when they matured.
@9000martin9000 Boomers grew up without computers, Late Gen Z grew up with computers that were easy, and gen alpha is raised on chromebooks/iPads which give you zero technical skills. As usual this is all just stereotypes, people who are skilled and love computers exist in every generation.
There is a documentary in the works about the SCUMM engine and its many legendary games like Sam and Max, Monkey Island etc. They have set up a mailing list to gauge interest so they can get it off the ground. https://t.co/2XhCLLXI6m Go check it out!
@superjude81 I like how the auto-reply sounds incredibly passive aggressive. I don't know why people can't just shut up if they don't have anything nice to say.
@Eris1294@MaplePrism@discord It was kind of a great deal when it was $5.(or free if you played your cards right) If you played lots of new releases it was great, and made me play a bunch of games I probably wouldn't have thought to try. Not even close to worth it now though.
@splatti47255029@llIllIIIlII1@NikTek@SynthPotato Partly, but it's also playing on a tablet. Most switch ports are hobbled to some degree to get it to work on a portable device. The Outer Worlds port is a good example.
@shauntremayne Very cool thanks for sharing man! I did know some PCMCIA cards were supposed to exist but I can't even find a picture of them these days.
