@braitsch@KCGrock@philginsburgsf@LondonBreed I agree with Kyle, in that the traffic on weekends in GGP is madness and the city has done nothing to manage it. Adding another attraction without taking any action to discourage driving will make things worse.
@braitsch@sfmta_muni With the years of documented illegal and dangerous activity by drivers on Valencia, why do we still let them drive and park on it? Why so slow to action? @sfbike Make Valencia for people! @PeopleProtected
I talked to the driver of this Amazon van for five minutes trying to get him to move his van out of the bike lane. He stated there was nowhere else to park. The yellow areas seem to be taken by private cars. @sfmta_muni get rid of private cars on Valencia!
So many Lyft/Ubers still blocking the bike lane too. When do we get our protected bike lane @sfbike@sfmta_muni@LondonBreed ? Minutes after I tried to get drivers out of the bike lane this cyclist had an accident.
And ebikes finally coming back in December! And the more bikes are ridden the more expansion is possible; and if Lyft doesn't meet service requirements in the future it can be replaced (whew!) Looking forward to ebiking! https://t.co/SZuNXuXeJq
Once we finally decide to go car-free in Golden Gate Park, we will look back with shame on scenes like this. How could we ever have let our flagship park become overrun with traffic?
@desertflyer@lauren_sailor Yep I do the same and that is my reasoning as well. Just like using the pedestrian light - this is the advisable behavior, but the infrastructure just hasn't caught up in all places.
Conservatory Drive? More like Conservatory Parking, amirite? Hmmmm I need help with my puns. Anyway this is Conservatory Drive in case anyone was wondering
5th Street Quick-Build in action! After passing the SFMTA Board in September, crews have started on this important safety project connecting Market Street to Caltrain with protected bike lanes, and safer pedestrian crossings. We look forward to completion by the end of the year!
One lonely bike rack at Laurel Village with these pretty new benches. I requested racks months ago, but only this one exists - still nothing further down towards Starbucks @sfmta_muni@sfbike#yougetabikerack
New bike corral at the Target on Geary. Pretty welcoming. Do you guys prefer it, or the racks hidden away in a corner of the garage? @sfbike#yougetabikerack

Watching 2 parents teaching their daughter (it would appear) how to cycle on the narrow, construction-torn sidewalks of Van Ness. How much more civilized it would be with bona fide car-free space on Polk and the network of perpendicular alleys in this area starved for open space.
Our State of Emergency calls for:
- Double red light cameras at high injury corridors
- Expand Parking Control Officer enforcement to prevent blocking box/bike lanes
- Enforcement of speeding to past year levels (double now)
- Lower speed limits
- Pedestrianized blocks
