Heads up on a change here: I'm bringing this account back to life, but focused on one thing - AI data security, trust and safety.

That's what I'm building at the new startup, and it's what I'll be posting about here. Music, London, personal musing and everything else has moved to https://t.co/odMcsWClNN - follow me there for that side.

The account will be renamed shortly, so don't be alarmed when it changes. Same me.

.@aspec00 is great founder and expert in startup operations.

If you are a founder who should be focusing on building and selling, check out Chore (fka Levy)

[Adam Spector @aspec00]

What’s the ONE thing holding your startup back from thriving?

❌ It’s not your product.

❌It’s not your vision.

✅ It’s the chore of running your business.

Founders: don't raise money right now. Pause your efforts, come back in 2 weeks.

Most firms give staff the time off and aren't going to run a fire drill for you.

Also negative selection bias: typically only poor quality companies and poor quality firms are in market right now.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Yeah, I'm kinda spreading my wings and moving over there...

Men of class /s

RFK actually called out Trump on junk food and said it was poison (see link). V surprised to see he is about to eat that shit AND has a coke.

These people are hypocrites.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Yep, well, that's me (to be clear - I didn't vote because I'm not a US Citizen but I donated and supported Harris).

I think the Dem's have a flawed retail offer but I don't think Trump will bring in the benefits to hard working people that they think he will.

[Michelle Tandler @michelletandler]

I can't stop thinking about how all these wealthy liberal elites voted, in their mind, for "the working class" - yet then woke up to a shock that the working class people voted the other way.

It's just astounding.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Don't fight. Vote.

no risk of the subversion of democracy and the fundamnetal values America was built upon

You get to pick one.

Surprisingly this isn't illegal. It should be and it's highly unethical.

And imagine the outrage if Bill Gates or George Soros made the exact same offer (to Democrats).

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

To be very clear - I am very worried for society more broadly about Trump winning, I've donated to Kamala Harris.

My question is solely as it pertains to AI and Crypto assuming the American public in their wisdom decide to return Trump to the White House.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, David Sacks and JD Vance (who is long time mentored by Peter Thiel) will control AI and Crypto legislation if Trump wins.

Trump has no personal view or vision on these topics, nor does it detract from his own desire to be POTUS.

Is that good or bad?

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

@cyantist This sounds amazing.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Drugs
Abortion
Marriage

Freedom is about giving people the autonomy to do what they want within the boundaries of civil society. Educate them about those decisions, tax them on those decisions (drugs), but let them decide what they do with their bodies.

[Ben Metcalfe @dotBen]

Never used weed or any drugs ever in my life (people find that hard to believe, it's true!)

But lets just get on and legalize marijuana (and most other drugs) and remove the criminal element.

The war on drugs failed.

[Kamala Harris @KamalaHarris]

No one should go to jail for smoking weed.
