We engineer venture names where the .com is still available to register. Paul Graham: If you don't own the exact .com domain, you should prob change the name.
Most founders discover that the exact dotcom for the name they want is either taken or unaffordable.
We engineer venture names where the exact dotcom is still available to register.

Yo DiceMan!
We noticed https://t.co/TA8XZ8l0N7 expired a while back so we registered it and redirected it to your website.
Let me know if you want the domain, and we will transfer it to you.
No charge. Oh!!
@CeredaMatteo@omarvvvr All the obvious domains are taken.
That doesn’t mean all the good domains are taken.
...It just means the name can’t be obvious.
@omarvvvr A name that sounds like it raised $500M usually has three things:
1. simple enough to remember
2. distinctive enough to own
3. credible enough to scale
The hard part is finding one where the exact dotcom is still available to register.
@joshu Agree.
A venture fund name has to do a lot at once:
1. signal taste
2. feel trustworthy
3. not sound like every other fund
4. work for founders and LPs
5. ideally own the exact dotcom
Harder than it looks. But absolutely doable.
