“Why Are We Rewarding a Government That Fails?” — US Lawmaker Gregory Steube Seeks to Block 100% of US Aid to Nigeria Over Insecurity
US Congressman Gregory Steube has urged Congress to approve an amendment that would withhold 100% of US assistance to the Nigerian government until it takes what he described as effective steps to address insecurity, terr%rism and the pers+cution of Christians and other religious minorities.
Speaking on the House floor, Steube said, “Nigeria has faced a horrific wave of vi%lence that its corr¥pt government has failed to address,” alleging that churches have been burned, women and girls abd¥cted, and extremist groups allowed to operate with near impunity.
He argued that if the bill already withholds 50% of the funding over those concerns, then “they are important enough to withhold all of the funding.” Questioning continued US support, he asked, “Why are we rewarding a government that fails to meet such a basic obligation?”
Steube said, “The generosity of our taxpayers is a reflection of the American values we hold so firmly,” adding that “foreign aid should never be a reward for failure.” He insisted “this is not about punishing the Nigerian people” but “about demanding accountability” from their government, urging Congress to ensure recipients “meet the standard before receiving support.”
He called on lawmakers to back the amendment and withhold all US assistance until Nigeria meets the required benchmarks.
‼️BREAKING: My amendment to withhold 100% of U.S. aid to Nigeria until its government stops the slaughter of Christians has PASSED.
American taxpayers should NEVER bankroll governments that turn a blind eye while Christians are abducted, tortured, and murdered.
No more wasteful foreign aid!
There’s obviously a reason he keeps diverting attention to Obi and Obidients in the last couple of days…. He doesn’t want to answer to questions about the lady that died in his house!!
Today, the EFCC invited Peter Akah (Randy Peter) and Mama Pee to its Abuja office for questioning. As responsible Nigerians, they honored the invitation.
As of now, they have not been released, and they have been unreachable.
EFCC, please do the needful.

DJ Chicken has yet to kill anybody, but he has been arrested and locked up. A dead body was found in the house of a serving minister, but no arrest has been made.
Welcome to Nigeria.
A doctor reportedly kept a newborn infant alive by manually using an AMBU bag from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., refusing to give up even after others had lost hope. Explaining why, the doctor said the baby was a twin and didn't want his brother to grow up without him, so he sacrificed his sleep to keep fighting for the child's life.
A true act of dedication and compassion. ❤️👏
As an igbo man what do you think we should do to hasten the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu? State it in the comment section.
We cannot forget Nnamdi Kanu.
I repeat we CANT.
Tinubu appoints someone who has stolen billions to be in charge of budget and you are wondering why we budgeted N6.4 billion for World Cup that we did not qualify for?

DAVE UMAHI AND THE 5 MISSING NELAN ENGINEERS
“The firm detailed 5 of their best engineers on the project. They were;
Engr. Nelson Onyemeh — Lead consultant/CEO of NELAN Consultants, from Ihiala, Anambra State.
• Engr. Ernest Edeani — From Nkanu, Enugu State.
• Engr. Ikechukwu Ejiofor — From Umunya, Anambra State.
• Engr. Samuel Aneke — From Nkanu, Enugu State.
• Engr. Stanley Nwazulum — From Amawbia, Anambra State.
In the course of their job, there was serious tensions between NELAN and the Umahi administration over project control and payments. According to the families of the 5 engineers, the Umahi government allegedly wanted NELAN to “take a back seat” so the state could exercise direct control, issue payment certificates, and give instructions to contractors. The then governor Umahi reportedly wanted NELAN to sign/approve certificates of satisfactory completion for work supervised or executed by other engineers/contractors — something NELAN refused, arguing it violated AfDB contract terms, their professional obligations, and risked the firm (and possibly the project) being blacklisted by the AfDB.
On November 3, 2021, the 5 engineers left Enugu for Ebonyi state in an official Toyota Hilux with registration ERR 001 EB for site supervision but never came back till this very moment neither were their remains found till date.”

So why allow the people suffer subsidy removal and your are still heavily borrowing and budgets are not funded
Contractors are owed!
I supported subsidy removal because we thought they will be accountable but the pain on the people is too much while their politicians are enjoying
No measure to help the people.i predicted rightly subsidy will cause plenty chaos for the people in my subsidy debate.

His wife, his son, his six young daughters, his son's wife and her three-month-old baby, all slaughtered in his own home after terrorists declared “you’re gonna learn the hard way” 💔😭🙏🏾
When he was leading the Occupy Nigeria protests, why didn’t he let Jonathan finish building the house. Agba wey no get sense!! Gave him polo and face cap and he was dancing at Ojota against a government that is far better than the one he is currently propagating! If tinubu had let Jonathan remove subsidies, we would have been better off today. However, I like how many of you are laying your legacies at the feet of tinubu. In a few months, una go learn new lessons.
