He’s firing 40k public servants. He running massive deficits due to bloated defence spending. He’s cutting your services and you are too stupid to realize
Every year it well get hotter and hotter as more and more heat is trapped on Earth and not escaping into space as it should
Do not be surprised if its 50 C (122 F) in a few years
Co2 at their highest in millions of years and due to climate time lag the heat is just beginning
This is going to be unpleasant and dangerous.
And it’s only beginning and is going to get hotter and hotter in the coming years.
People should be much more angry.
‘Overnight, the heat is expected to remain sweltering throughout next week as tropical nights have been predicted in areas where temperatures remain above 20C.
Dew points - indicative of the air's humidity - are also forecast to be around 22C on Wednesday and Thursday, surpassing the record-breaking July 2022 heatwave, when they did not reach above single figures.’
If you want to do something about climate change, do this :
Tweet at all the journalists and broadcasters on this site and DEMAND TO KNOW WHY THEY ARE NOT REPORTING THE FEAR AND URGENCY THAT SCIENTISTS LIKE THIS ONE ARE EXPRESSING.
Their lack of reporting as the planet breaks temperature record after record is unforgivable. There should be far more anger at the media and the fact that they have not and are not doing their jobs. It’s putting us all in danger.
I really respect Adam Boulton but where are the answers for the climate crisis.
Look at the temperatures in France right now.
Last month, the UK had its hottest Spring temperature ever recorded.
We are about to break the record for our hottest June temperature ever recorded.
Crops are being affected.
Scientists are telling us that our kids do not have safe long-term futures.
They’re telling us that perhaps billions of people will die in the coming years.
There should be a massive journalistic uprising to make this the number one story Day in Day out. It should have happened 20 years ago.
And still today journalists are ignoring it. Literally ignoring it, pretending it’s not happening
The fact that climate change & how to fix it is not the number one story every single day is proof of something deep & scarily wrong with our society.
Rare years of extreme heat in the past is nothing compared to the relentless rise in temperatures over the last decade happening every year not once in a few decades https://t.co/3RGfwbHIZT
When I was growing up these temperatures had never happened.
It's young people I feel most sorry for. They parents have done nothing to stop this and they mostly have no idea of what is unfolding.
“How did we go from paper straws to data centres?”
no one listened to the environmentalists who said unchecked corporate pollution was the bigger issue.
So many people going ballistic at climate change deniers (rightly so), but then do exactly the same thing when it comes to COVID.
If you can’t accept the science, or the facts, when it comes to the pandemic, how can you criticise others who don’t accept them with climate change?
@KavitaAlguMD@MarkJCarney It is bad, but the rise in cancer is due to covid infections
Covid is oncogenic in several different ways
Mask up! 😷

All while abandoning universal healthcare.
So not only will we get sick, we won't be able to afford treatment.
Carney seems to hate Canadians as much as he seems to hate Palestinians, Lebanese and Iranians.
Yep the millions of years of stored carbon of oil coal and gas was not dug up by humans in last 200 years
It just released by itself
The forests just logged themselves of billions of Trees and the wetlands just drained themselves
Next year the world will most likely hit 1.7°C above pre-industrial temperatures. Runaway climate collapse is effectively locked in. Neo-liberal regimes have zero chance of surviving the social and political fallout. The centre will not hold.

It's not "just summer".
It's not "just weather".
It's not just a few hot days to complain about and then forget.
France, Spain, Portugal, the UK and other parts of Europe are facing extreme heat, with temperatures pushing well beyond what used to be considered normal for this time of year.
This is heat putting pressure on people, wildlife, water supplies, agriculture, energy systems and emergency services. It increases the risk of wildfires, heat illness and dangerous conditions for the most vulnerable.
The climate has always changed, but the speed, intensity and frequency of these extreme events are becoming a terrifying new reality.
