I just remembered the story of how God sent two angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of their heavy sins and they met with Abraham who treated them to a feast. He fed them well and even offered them shelter for the night but they were too bothered about their mission. He didn’t even know he was attending to angels until it was revealed.

To cut the long story short, they told him about their mission like “Guy, we are angels o. In fact, we are on a bloody mission to wipe Sodom and Gomorrah off the face of the earth. Kalashnikov dey, bomb dey, everything set, hope you don’t have anyone in Sodom because tonight, dem go collect woto woto”.

Abraham held them down “haba, you can’t do that to a large city like that. I have my closest nephew there, his name is LOT and this thing you are saying is a lot to process. Lot is an upright man and you can’t kill an upright man with the wicked people of the city. In fact, we should have up to 50 righteous men in Sodom and Gomorrah. If we have up to 50, will you spare the city?”

The angels looked at him. “Okay, if we get 50, the city will be spared”.

They brought out spiritual calculator and started counting. Abraham was like “seems 50 is plenty my bros, how about 40?” The angels replied “we will spare them for 40”. Abraham answered “sharp, omo iya mi”. They kept calculating and baba had to chip in “e be like say this thing tight, how about 30 abeg?” They answered him in same manner, “if we see 30, even 20, we will spare the city”.

Abraham jumped for joy, but soon, his joy turned to sorrow and he asked them one last time “what if we see 10?” 🤦

The angels didn’t mind but they never got 10. They had to sit Abraham down like “Abby bobo, you see that Sodom, na oloriibu full am. They are all sinning without caution. Ate won de ti baje tonigh.”

Seems Lot was the only righteous person amongst millions in Sodom and Gomorra because his wife sef na disobedient woman, she looked back and turned to salt. His two daughters who escaped with him were rapists. They drugged their father and slept with him. A whole city, just one righteous man.

Now, look at yourself, can people vouch for you?
