The @NBCNews subscription is now out for Android + iPhone users!
A proud moment for the team -- months of work finally seeing daylight.
Media today isn’t fighting for eyeballs, it’s fighting for clarity, trust, and context. Launching a subscription product in this type of environment isn’t merely another feature release. It’s a bet that thoughtful news still matters.
Excited to keep building. Read more about it:
Day 3 of redoing my portfolio after fully nuking the one I spent months on 😬
Turning it into my laptop screen felt right. It's the most honest interface for how I think and where everything about me actually lives. Notes, tabs, half-baked ideas, you name it.
Days 1–2 were chaos + bulk building. Today is the slow grind: CMS stuff, micro features, polishing.
Reallyyyy enjoying Framer… except the shortcuts keep betraying me because I'm so used to Figma 😭
Worth it though for this new iMessage feature I'm working on 👀
1. better chat organization!! some ideas: message threads (similar to slack when you don't want to branch an entirely new chat but want a seperate convo on a specific message), bookmarking/starring/tagging chats
2. BETTER VOICE MODE rn it really lacks depth/helpfulness of the text version & i cannot stand the premature conversation endings
Yesterday I spent about 8 hours rebuilding my portfolio in Framer...
I had an older version that was technically “in progress,” but it stayed unfinished for so long that it started to feel like a reminder of everything I was not shipping. So I scrapped it and started fresh.
One early choice I’m loving: designing it in a MacBook frame. It sounds small, but it’s honest. My work actually happens there. Notes, drafts, Figma files, screenshots, half-baked ideas, and the final versions that eventually make it out into the world. If I’m building a portfolio that reflects me, it makes sense that it starts where my life already lives.
Initial Framer thoughts so far: it’s fast, intuitive as someone who uses Figma so much, and makes website building feel fun again. Also, I now understand how people accidentally spend an hour adjusting frames by 2 pixels LOL
I’ll share the finished version soon, but for now this is your sign that starting over is sometimes the most efficient path forward :)
a24’s marketing team for “The Drama” has not missed once. every rollout piece has felt like a part of the world, and not just promo.
film marketing genuinely has not felt this locked-in in a while.
No one talks about how “clean” UI is built on top of chaotic thinking.
Sketches/low-fi → scraps → UI kit → high-fi → interactive prototype
The glowup is just the receipt.
Most people use AI in silos: they think privately, get an answer generated privately, then paste it into Slack, Notion, or group chats.
What if we flipped that?
I designed a @chatgptapp high-fi prototype animation that starts with shared cognition. Groups can highlight, tag, and auto-surface insights into a shared canvas the moment they’re generated. Integration with widely used tools would be the next step.
Finals-week students would eat this up.
So would product teams, researchers, and founders.
