@StarWars5W@StarWars_Cringe They'd have been even more mad had Gilroy ignored Ghorman altogether when it was right there and available. There is no winning these people over. It's their loss.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith We continue to disagree on core. God's nature as the literal father of our Spirits and His plan for us through Jesus Christ is what occupies our minds, where he does things from is less of a concern. But if it bothers you a lot, I'm sorry. All the best.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith No one denies Kolob is a thing. We don't consider it a huge deal, it's a passing name give to the star near to where God dwells, interesting but nothing else depends on it. We hardly give it a thought, we are much more concerned about what God and His son have done for us.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith That isn't at all what we've been arguing. Moving the goal posts again?
Kolob as central core beliefs, no. Eternal Progression as part of God's Nature, yes. It's like you saying that Bethlehem is a central part of Christian belief, no, it's a place and a weird way to phrase it.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith Yes, with nuance. Your believe God as Jesus came to the Earth to live as man, did he not?
But alas, this is a complete redirect of the original question and answer. This is all still a distraction and very much outside the normal conversation on Sunday.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith Show me the manuals and scriptures talking about Kolob non stop? I literally can't remember the last time it was mentioned and I rarely miss a Sunday.
@AndyYoung46 The town also already approved it. They're just trying to undermine the church at this point. Lots of underhanded stuff going on by the town to play victim.
@Vegas82@hankrsmith You guys WANT Kolob to be a central part of the belief because it's easy to mock and confuse people with, but none of that is core to the faith. It's speculative or interesting but contains nothing salvific and certainly isn't taught on a weekly basis.
